December 2011 – The Trajectum College, a modern multi-cultural school in Utrecht-Overvecht, moved into its new premises in late August. Verzinkerij Heerhugowaard has hot-dip galvanised the steel structures and door frames. The frames for the outer walls were processed in the Duplex Route by Verzinkerij Heerhugowaard and Poedercoating Heerhugowaard.

November 2011 – The A13 and A27 have been widened to include hard shoulder running, and traffic noise levels have increased as a result. So noise barriers have been installed alongside these motorways to cut down the noise level reaching the surrounding area. Both barriers were treated using the Duplex Route: Verzinkerij Heerhugowaard hot-dip galvanised them before Poedercoating Heerhugowaard applied a twin-layer powder coating: green for the A13 and white for the A27.

September 2011 – Centrumplan is being built alongside the Duinpark in Den Helder. It is a multifunctional complex accommodating supermarkets, local facilities and a community school. The schoolyard is located on different levels. The schoolyard for the older classes of "De Trimaran" is on the roof and it has a fenced-off sports field where the children can play basketball and football. Verzinkerij Heerhugowaard hot-dip galvanised the sports cage and the goals before Poedercoating Heerhugowaard applied a powder coating.

August 2011 – In one of the most beautiful places in Amsterdam is the Oosterdokseiland (ODE). This area, on the banks of the river IJ alongside Central Station is a hive of building activity. The dam that, since 1832, linked the Oosterdokseiland (which houses Amsterdam's central library and the conservatoire) with Prins Hendrikkade has been replaced with a beautiful prefabricated arched bridge. The steel frames were treated with the Duplex system, which involves first hot-dip galvanizing the steel by Verzinkerij Heerhugowaard, then powder coating them by Poedercoating Heerhugowaard.

July 2011 – In the Kolenkitbuurt in Amsterdam’s western suburbs lies the leaning ‘New Kit’ tower block. It is 57 metres tall, clad in white stone and stands at an angle of nine degrees to the perpendicular. The apartment building adjacent to the tower and the substructure of the tower itself has affordable apartments and commercial units. The balconies and their fencing are treated with the duplex route, a two-step method of coating involving hot-dip galvanizing by Verzinkerij Heerhugowaard and powder coating by Poedercoating Heerhugowaard.

March 2011 – Holland is a country where people take water sports seriously. As soon as spring starts, the boats are taken out of winter storage, loaded on trailers and taken to the marinas. To give the trailers enduring protection against all weather conditions, they are always hot-dip galvanised. This new type of boat trailer is a top-of-the-range product and it is processed in the Duplex Route: Verzinkerij Heerhugowaard hot-dip galvanised the steel structure before Poedercoating Heerhugowaard applied two layers of powder coating.

December 2010 – The Hermitage, the new construction project in the area around Zaandam railway station, includes a total of 105 homes, 11,000 m2 of shops, an underground car park and a cinema. The end plates for the steel profile components were cut to size by De Boer Snijbedrijf. All the steel that comes into contact with the air, including the steel in the cavity walls, was galvanised by Verzinkerij Heerhugowaard and given a twin layer of powder coating by Poedercoating Heerhugowaard.

November 2010 – Within walking distance of Alkmaar city centre lies the newbuild development Jaagpad West, which has recently been completed. This development includes six detached houses and 16 one and three room apartments. Also within the development is Lauwershof nursing home, a care unit with capacity for 24 dementia patients. The steel structures, staircases and railings were hot-dip galvanised by Verzinkerij Heerhugowaard before being powder coated with two layers applied by Poedercoating Heerhugowaard.

September 2010 – In Scandinavia, things are dark for a large part of the year. So everybody is even more keenly aware that daylight brings benefits that artificial light can't. Daylight is important for our biorhythms and it helps us to bring the best out of ourselves. That is why a major hardware store in the Swedish town of Sundsvall opted for strip roof lights. Poedercoating Heerhugowaard powder coated the aluminium profiles for these strip roof lights.

August 2010 – Situated right on the quayside around the harbour of the picturesque fishing village of Volendam is Brasserie Cathrien and, above it, a complex of apartments. Several of these apartments have recently been fitted with balconies. The steel of the balcony structures was galvanised at Verzinkerij Heerhugowaard, and two layers of powder coating were applied by Poedercoating Heerhugowaard. Now residents can enjoy the beautiful view permanently.
